Realtor®, Team Leader
Hello, I’m Shawn!
Rising tides lift all boats. It’s this mindset that I take to heart whenever doing business. Together we can grow our community from within and by attracting newcomers who’s value adds to our own.
A community spirit has been an integral part of my whole life. Volunteering, community support, small business entrepreneurship and engaging with all those around me informs my ability to help my clients. Working with my neighbours to enrich our community is the driving force behind my work.
My background in marketing and business development means that I have first hand knowledge on how to effectively work with and support my clients through their Real Estate journey. I will help you best position the sale of your home or structure any offer towards purchasing your next property to achieve a result that is both comfortable and satisfying to you.
Learning is a passion of mine. Continuous education about the physical nature of homes and property matters is a part of my regular routine. I am also a numbers geek and these talents help me to give you the knowledge you need to make informed decisions.
Moving from Ontario to New Brunswick in search of that better quality of life and a more rational cost of living, I arrived From Away in 2020. Since moving, I’ve found myself surrounded by overwhelmingly kind and helpful neighbours. These experiences are why I want to help others and why I aim to grow my community.
I am here for you. If you have any questions at all about how real estate works, what growth opportunities are available in our community, or just to say hello, feel free to reach out. I’m here to help.
I donate a portion of every single transaction to our Shelter Foundation fund. Locally, this is the Beausejour Family Crisis Resource Centre Inc in Shediac who support those experiencing family violence and individuals experience emotional and life challenges.
100 Men Who Care Greater Moncton brings together 100 men (though often more) to collectively bring funds in support of local organizations. Four times annually, the men of our group will have three community organizations present who they are and their plans for the funds. The men vote on a “winner” though to ensure maximum support the winner will take 60% of the donated funds for that session and the other two organizations will each take 20%. This method ensures that every organization qualified to present will receive support from our community.
Senior home visits with my dogs are an important part of my community involvement. These visits provide joy to the residents who appreciate time with their community, as well as to my dogs who simply love people and to be loved by people.
As a youth, I experienced poverty and I was lucky enough to have organizations who helped me to be able to play and socialize. As such, I believe in paying forward to my community and ensuring support for local sports teams who will give children an even playing field to just go out and be kids. You can support our Riverview youth here.
REALTORS® Care is an organization comprised of REALTORS® from several competing brokerages coming together to support our community. Here in the Greater Moncton Area that has been raising funds for the People for Animal Wellbeing, support for homeless organizations such as Harvest House Atlantic, The Humanity Project and Maison Nazareth, as well as supporting other various causes throughout the year. As a REALTOR® we don’t just simply make my money from our community, we also love to give back to support and grow with our neighbours.
I am the Volunteer Executive Communications Coordinator for our local ElderDog Canada Inc. Moncton Pawd. With other volunteers, we help to support the human-canine bond by supporting seniors and senior dogs. Seniors may require support in transporting their dogs to and from vet/groomer appointments, need help walking their dogs after surgery or may need to provide support in the form of donated food and pet supplies to low-income seniors. We also will help rehome dogs as a family member passes away and a senior may be looking for some four-legged companionship.
I’m a big fan of amateur and less popular sports, such as axe throwing. Locally, one of our great teams is the Chocolate River Chuckers Axe Throwing Team who have represented Maritime Canada internationally in double bit axe throwing competitions. I enjoy the sport for the fun of it, but I’ve also found that the axe throwing community is one of the best, most inclusive sports around.
